Shower Meteors Are Coming Tonight!

August 12, 2024

Tonight, starting at 9 PM and lasting until dawn, Malaysia will be treated to a breathtaking meteor shower. If you look up, you might catch up to 100 meteors an hour—about two every minute—as the Perseids light up the night sky.

This dazzling event happens each year when Earth passes through the debris left by the Swift-Tuttle comet, according to the Malaysian Space Agency (MYSA). Best of all, you won’t need any special equipment—just your eyes to enjoy the show.
